What are market hours?
Updated over a week ago

Market hours refer to the specific times during the day when stock exchanges are open and trading can take place. These hours vary depending on the stock exchange and the country in which it is located. For example, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is open from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

How do market hours affect my trades?

When trading on FlexInvest, it is important to keep in mind that trades can only be executed during market hours. This means that if you place an order outside of market hours, it will not be executed until the start of the next market day. For example, if you place a trade on the NYSE at 6:00 pm on a Tuesday, it will not be executed until 9:30 am on Wednesday.

After market hours, you can still place trades on FlexInvest, but they will not be executed until the start of the next market day. This means that the price you see when you place a trade may not be the same as the price when the trade is executed. This is because the stock market is influenced by many factors, such as economic news and events, which can cause prices to fluctuate.

Investing outside of market hours involves additional risks like increased price volatility and lower trading volume. Prices of securities are subject to change outside of market hours.
